All art requires courage. ~Anne Tucker

Decorating Basic Class
Day 1

Today was my first day of my Wilton's Decorating Basics class.  For class, we had to bring cookies to decorating along with the many other things on our list to complete the "assignment."  I made my cookies Sunday afternoon and they were pretty yummy; even though, I am not a huge cookie fan.

My teacher's name is Beth Anne and she has been in the cake business for 35 years- looks like I'm going to be learning from someone with A LOT of experience!  The class has 10 ladies in it, ages ranging 30's/40's to 14 years old.  I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, I got the same butterflies I use to get right before going on stage to give a speech or walk into the interview room.  Once, I sat down at my seat the butterflies were gone.  A young lady about my age sat next to me and started talking to me and I responded because it was the politething to do. For those that don't know I don't do well with strangers and that is really one of the weird things about me since I go to school with ALL strangers and I interviewed for nanny positions with people that were strangers.  I guess, living here on my own is helping me out some, maybe?

Here is my SUPER cute apron that Grandma Fran got me for my classes!! Thanks Grandma, it was a hit!!

Anyways, back to the class, my first pipping bag I cut the hole to much and it was about to explode (this happens to be one of my MAJOR problems!) Then my second bag had a small hole in it, but I worked through it and pipped my cookie. Yes, I said cookie... by the time I got my bags fixed which was like 5 minutes at the most our teacher was already done with class. So, I cake home and finished my cookies.

So here they are! I think they maybe the worse I have done,
I blame it on the pressure of others being around. Ha Ha
