| Two peas in a pod 2002 |
In just 6 days my sweet "sister" will be visiting with her hubby and THREE kids!!! Amanda became apart of my life as we set out to win rodeo queen titles together- we did just that 10 YEARS AGO!! Since, those days she has been the big sister I never had and I the little one she didn't have. She taught me to drive in the "hole" (Jurupa Rodeo people know what that is.) I was SCARED to DEATH to go over 5-10 MPH and kept asking if I could put the car in cruise. Thankfully, I am over that fear and have no problem with going over the speed limit. She has been there for me when I needed boy advice or just someone to cry to and quiz me for Miss Rodeo California. Thankfully, every year her and her little family load the car and head to California, so I and her hubby's family get to see them. This trip is a little different because I get to have an AMANDA DAY!!!! (of course, that is after I share her with a few people and the kiddos go down for naps, but none the less I get to spend time with her JUST her!!
I have enjoyed my summer in California but I am ready to hit the ground running in Arizona!!! I will be traveling back (in 14 days) on the 30th of July and starting the 2012-2013 school year on the 31st of July with a meet and greet of everyone in the school district that will be working with my cohort this coming year. During the meet and greet I will be meeting my placement teacher Mrs G and through email we have clicked, thank you God! Starting on August 1st, I will be a "full" time teacher (without the pay) for 22 days before ASU classes start and then I will begin the Monday/Tuesday rotation. I am beyond thankful and excited for this journey to continue, I have always been fond of first grade, so I can't wait to meet the class on AUGUST 8th- The first day of school!!!!!

| Oh the fun of Father Daughter Camp!!! |
Besides from looking forward to school, I am also excited to move back because a friend from California moved to Phoenix when I came home for the summer. We already have plans for LOTs of outings and Saturdays at the pool! Bethany and I go way back to cruising around Forest Homes during Father Daughter camps and countless other church trips. We will be road tripping with each other also, so we can visit our parents back in California :) Not only is Bethany IN Phoenix but my cousin was ACCEPTED to ASU and will beginning in August! Lookin' forward to seeing how God works in all of our lives out in the Grand Canyon state.

Not only am I EXCITED about Graduation but the
design I have in mind for this bad boy!!! |
With school starting, I can't help but mention YES I am that person who has a count down for GRADUATION in MAY!!!!!!! Only 297 days until I stand up with the Mary Lou School of Education and in 304 days, I get to walk across the stage at the GRADUATION for the Mary Lou School of Education.......such a long time coming, I couldn't help but be excited!
I should also mention that I have also been counting the days SINCE......... I took my first steps again on TWO feet!!!! I have been walking again for 72 days and couldn't be more blessed. While, I was in Arizona last week taking the AEPA (AZ teacher Certification test) I also saw my doctor and got the clear that I didn't need to schedule any follow up appointments to check in. This is a big step; however, I am ENCOURAGED to visit anytime with treats ;) I love my doctors and their staff!
Life is AMAZING right now and I am beyond THANKFUL and BLESSED to have those in it that mean the world to me! Until next time....
